We are proud of ShootQ Grant winner Sherrlyn Borkgren. Her work documenting the tragic rape of girls in Congo is featured on CNN

She personalized the narrative by telling one girl's powerful story. Sherrlyn's dedication and Belice's courage are a testament to the lasting power of documentary photography. Through their eyes, the world is watching.

The story was the MOST viewed story on CNN.com yesterday, with over 1.3 million views.

“Photography is a small voice, at best, but sometimes one photograph, or a group of them, can lure our sense of awareness.” – W. Eugene Smith
